Nikkei Manor

Dining WomenAs your loved one grows older, physical care needs may change, but the need for community does not. At Nikkei Manor, we recognize this essential truth. We have designed an assisted living environment that celebrates the individual and focuses on his or her unique needs.

If you are new to the concept of assisted living, think of it as a caring and supportive community for the older person who welcomes help with daily tasks such as meals, personal grooming, or remembering to take medication, but whose needs do not require skilled nursing care. For this elder and the elder's family, maintaining the highest level of independence and choice is key. Nikkei Manor's assisted living environment provides the necessary supports to maintain a lifestyle of active choice.

"The facility does a very good job of taking care of the residents and meeting their needs."

"Whatever I ask the staff to do for me, they do -- and they do it well."

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I know if assisted living is the right option for my loved one?

While many factors are involved in choosing the best housing option for your loved one, we encourage you to begin with your own observations. For example, have you noticed changes in an older relative or friend? Perhaps you've noticed that the person hasn't been eating as well as before, or that he or she is finding upkeep of the home too burdensome. Tasks that used to be easy, such as shopping for groceries, cooking, or taking prescription medicine, have become difficult. You may also notice that this once-active person is increasingly reclusive; yet you know that he or she could benefit by more contact with friends, and would welcome support with tasks of daily living. If you notice these things, assisted living is an option you should consider.

  2. What do these services cost?

The all-inclusive monthly rates per person depend upon the size of the apartment occupied. Rooms can be occupied by two persons if desired for an additional charge. Please contact us for information about current rates.

  3. Can residents add services at a later date?

Most definitely. Residents are encouraged to choose from the wide range of services as their needs or preferences change. All inclusive rates mean the resident is not charged for added services.

  4. Are there current openings?

Availability varies throughout the year. However, we strive to accommodate each new resident in the most timely way possible. We can often accommodate a new resident immediately. The best way to begin the process is to contact our Nikkei Manor Manager, Bill Colter, at (206) 726-6467 to schedule a time to discuss your loved ones' needs.
