A Unique Community...

Horizon House is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, designed to provide a spectrum of services and care for residents, from complete independence to 24-hour-a-day skilled nursing.

We are a private, nonprofit corporation established in 1961, affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Conference United Church of Christ. A 17-member Board of Trustees, which includes five residents, governs Horizon House.

How will you spend your day? You may prepare meals in your own kitchen or enjoy the company of others in our Dining Room. A 5,000 book library, gardens, styling salon, activity rooms, and rooms for your private entertaining or professional meetings are here for your use. Savor the quiet of your own apartment or join others for some work in the computer room, a game of bridge, an evening meal, or a day or weekend trip.

What sets us apart? The best theaters, restaurants and shops in Seattle, the public library, churches and medical centers are just a short walk from our front door. Freeway Park with its flowing waterfalls and lush landscaping is in our back yard. It is a community of energetic, enthusiastic and involved people who will be your neighbors.

We have begun a Long-Range Plan for the future of Horizon House.  Our Mission, Vision and Values are the foundation of that plan.
