Adult Family Homes
(AFH) are private homes offering home-style living. AFH’s
offer room and board, personal care for up to six people. They
range from those that offer only room, board, and minimal
personal assistance to those that offer full personal care and
skilled nursing.
Adult Family homes are inspected,
monitored and licensed by the
Senior and Disabled Services
Division
(SDSD) or
by the local Area Agency on Aging.

We make every effort to maximize independence, but we
are there to provide any services needed. We aim to
meet the mental, social, and physical needs of each
resident. They are free to make choices and are
encouraged to do so. All residents are treated as
being part of a family, but at the same time are given
the privacy they need as an individual.
